SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - September 04, 2014) - Others Like Us (OLU), created by Seattle's Union Gospel Mission, will launch its next story t-shirt featuring Richard on Sept 8th. The shirt will be offered in both crew cut and V-neck type shirts.

Richard had dreams to be a writer. He has a bucket list. But his life turned at a very young age. Richard ran away from an abusive home at 8. It was safer on the streets than it was in his own home. He slept in doorways, camped, anywhere he could find until a few years ago. That's when Seattle's Union Gospel Mission's Search & Rescue van stopped on an unscheduled stop. Just hours earlier, full of despair, he prayed for help. Today, he's helping other men and women who now face the same despair he did.

Richard is the next face of OLU. His dream of jumping out of an airplane will happen on Sept 6th, the day after the t-shirt sporting his face launches. He will be wearing his OLU shirt when he jumps as a reminder of where he's been and where's he going. He wants to get the message out that: "People on the street aren't failures. They're good people from bad circumstances and ended up out here."
