Inbound Marketing for CPA Firms Study Reports Current Online Marketing Trends in Accounting Sector

EATONTOWN, N.J., Sept. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Grass Roots Marketing, Inc. The study examines the current usage of effective, online marketing tactics for U.S. CPA firms by comparing 99 typical New Jersey CPA firms along with the top 25 CPA firms in the state as determined by number of employees.

Website grades from 1 to 100 were determined through website grader software from HubSpot, a recognized leader in inbound marketing technology. This grade was based on a review of numerous factors measuring the website's effectiveness including the number of indexed pages, linking domains, links to social media sites and interior page analysis, which assesses the internal value of individual pages.

Company websites, Internet search engines and social media search engines were crawled to identify company blogs as well as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter profiles.

"Our study showed that in all of the analyzed categories, the top 25 CPA firms demonstrated best in class characteristics by ranking better than their 99 typical firm counterparts in inbound marketing tactics," says Singerline.
